Ratnagiri city is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the Konkan region of the State of Maharashtra. It is also the district headquarters of the Ratnagiri district. The place is famous for its isolated beaches, ancient forts; temples of historical importance and of course Ratnagiri mango, Alphanso. Bhatye Beach: Bhatye Beach located in the village of Bhatye is famous for its lengthy and clean coastal line. The waves here are flat making it a good place to go for a swim.
